Annoyances R Us

OK, I've been working here and there, and I finally believe we're ready to do the last bit of the suprise project, but now I have to pack up from my flat to move back to my parents house (ps this is a good thing for Machinima). Unfortunately it means I may not be able to do any serious Machinima work till Thurday or around then, since I have to move almost every posession of mine. I'm pissed off about it, but what can I do?


On the other hand, Echon has released EGL 0.1.8 which has a stupendously huge changelog (thats a good thing). It should fix many of the problems we have been STRUGGLING with lately, so Ghost will hopefully be able to update binary EGL. It'll be soo much better. I did a proof test a short while ago to experiment with moving cars. This test was pretty decent so we'll most prolly do a car chase scene for sure. I do a lot of these tests to make sure certain things can DEFINATELY be done in the engine(rather than me guessing they can - bad habit), but I only ever release a small number of em (dunno why). Well I guess I'll release this one. The car wasn't animated yet. The test was to assertain the pheasibilty of of doing a car/highway chase in Q2, and to see how well the rscript transprancy worked on the windows of the car. The bug means the seats and the driver didn't draw, but u CAN see inside the car. This bug should be fixed in the new EGL, so the next 'render' should be fine. click the image if u wanna see the vid (663KB). Right click if u wanna save.


If I hadn't done the test I wouldn't have known about the bug. that would have been a bad surprise one week down the line.
